SRINAGAR, Oct 6: S.J.M Gillani, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K felicitated different J&K Police Centre Sports teams for showing exceptional performances in different tournaments.
The teams who were felicitated were J&K Police Pencak Silat team who won 11 Gold, 2 Silver & 2 Bronze medals in 8th UT (J&K) Pencak Silat Championship. J&K Police Athletic team lead by HC Reyaz Ahmad (Team Coach) won 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in 21st J&K (UT) Athletic Championship and Constable Hans Raj who secured 1st Position in 21.097 Kms (Half Marathon) at 11,155 feet Altitude during National level Ladakh Marathon.
The J&K Police Water Sports team won 6 Gold, 8 Silver and 2 Bronze medals in 9th J&K (UT) Water Sports Championship-2023 also facilitated J&K Police Basketball team for winning the Rajinder Magotra Memorial Basketball Championship-2023. All the team players have been felicitated by the officer for bringing laurels to Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Mahmood Ahmed, SSP Staff Officer to ADGP Armed J&K, Syed Sajad Husain (Pvt) Secretary to ADGP Armed J&K, Ab. Hamid Dy.SP (Personnel) APHQ, Kuldeep Handoo DySP (Sports) APHQ, besides the various coaches and members of J&K Police Centre Sports teams were present on this occasion.
