Academy of Wushu emerges overall Champion

District Wushu C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Oct 7: A two day long District Jammu Wushu Championship concluded here today. Around 650 players from different schools and clubs participated in the championship in which Academy of Wushu emerged as overall champion whereas Khelo India Wushu Centre Jammu and May Fair International School emerged as runners-up and 2nd runner up in the Championship.
Vijay Saraf, General Secretary of Wushu Association of India and President Wushu Association of J&K was the chief guest on the occasion and they distributed prizes among winners. Six players who qualified for the 37th National Games at Goa are Abhishek Jamwal, Surya Bhanu Partap, Abhijeet Singh, Tanshiv Raina, Naveed and Riya Chib.
Meanwhile, Namit Malhotra, student of class 4th of Jodhamal Public School in Jammu also won silver medal in Wushu Championship. Vaishali, General Secretary of District Jammu Wushu Association, Ritika Manager Indoor Stadium Bhagwati Nagar, Balwinder Singh and Manager JKSC were also present on this occasion.
