JAMMU, Oct 12: Dr Ghanshyam N Jha, Scientist Fisheries, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Doda, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu, received prestigious Fellowship award of International Academy “Nepal Aquaculture Society, Kathmandu, Nepal during two days International Conference entitled “Science, Society & Culture (ICSC-2023)” held at Kathmandu on 6-7 October, 2023.
A reputed panel of very senior level International scientists recommended and announced the award to the name of Dr Jha. This recognition has been conferred to Dr Jha for his innovative field extension approaches, introduction of new technologies in Doda district of Jammu & Kashmir, his achievements in the fisheries sector and considering his overall scientific contribution.
Pertinent that Dr Jha has been pioneer in introduction of low cost locally made feed for trout, poly-lining of pond for fisheries & water storage; vegetable based integrated fish farming; ornamental fisheries & aquarium manufacturing as an enterprise, etc, in the district.
