JAMMU, Jan 10: For showing excellent performance in the 59th National School Games held at Delhi, the Director General Youth Services and Sports, Navin Aggarwal felicitated the medal winners of the State Contingent in the sports discipline of handball, hockey, jeet-kune-do, judo, kick boxing, rope skipping, sqay martial art, thang-ta, wrestling and wushu in an impressive function, here today.
In these games, J&K won 30 medals which included 1 gold, 9 silver and 20 bronze.
Mr Agarwal while interacting with the players and officials said that besides building character, sports and games infuse spirit of sportsmanship among the budding players. He hoped for even a better show by the State teams at the National level in future.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports and Deputy Director Activity, Kanchan Bala.
