JAMMU, Oct 18: The Inter-Collegiate Fencing (Men) Championship 2023-24 concluded here today which was organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at the University Fencing Hall.
The winners of the championship (Foil Individual) Praney Singh (PG Deptt. JU) Gold, Silver medal to Aadher Khajuria (GCET Jammu) while 1st Bronze to Gourav Thakur and 2nd Bronze to Bhanu Partap Singh.
In the Event Epee Team; gold to Shivansh Kapoor (GDC Kunjwani), silver to Gourav Thakur (GDC Reasi) and 1st bronze to Aadher Khajuria (GCET Jammu) and 2nd bronze to Mohd. Umar (GDC Poonch). The overall Inter-College Fencing (Men) Championship 2023-24 was won by GDC Reasi.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu awarded medals to the winner and overall winner trophy to the GDC Reasi team, and others present on the occasion were Ajay Kumar, Shashi Kumar Sharma, Vikas Karlopia, Mukesh Kumar, Ravish Vaid, Harvinder Singh and Jai Bharat.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Kumar, Veer Sagram Singh, Maninder Pal Singh, Adarsd Salathia, Ranchan Saberwal, Javed Ahmed Chouwdary and Sdr. P.D Singh. Tomorrow the Inter-College Fencing (Women) Championship 2023-24 will be organized.
