JAMMU, Oct 20: The three-day inter-school basketball competition under operation Sadbhavana organized by the Indian Army in Akhnoor concluded here today. There were 10 teams from seven different schools of the area participating in which 6 teams were of boys and 4 teams were of girls in the tournament.
Two final matches of the tournament were played between Army Public School Akhnoor and Army Public School RakhMuthi, in which the team of Army Public School Akhnoor won the final match by defeating Army Public School Rakh Muthi by 26-20. In the boys’ final match, Army Public School Kaluchak defeated Army Public School Akhnoor by 66-35.
KCS Mehta, Principal of International Delhi Public School, was the chief guest while Geeta Devi Principal of Army Public School, Akhnoor was the special guest. A prize distribution ceremony was organized after the final matches in which the chief guest and special guest gave awards to the winning and runner-up teams.
