JAMMU, Oct 20: Prof. Bechan Lal, Vice-Chancellor of the Cluster University of Jammu inaugurated the Inter-College Football (Men) tournament of Cluster University of Jammu here today at GGM Science College Football Ground.
The inaugural match was played between SPMR College of Commerce and Government MAM College which remained undecided till the end because both the teams scored equal points. Finally it was decided on the basis of a tie breaker in which Government MAM College won the match by 5-4.
While the 2nd match was played between GGM Science College and GCOE, Jammu in which GGM Science College won by 4-1. The final match will be played between Government MAM College and GGM Science College Jammu tomorrow.
Prof. Rajesh K. Gupta, Principal GGM Science College was the chief guest. Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Sports, Cluster University of Jammu & Physical Director GGM Science College, Dr. Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar CLUJ present on this occasion. Prof. Bechan Lal emphasized that Sports are an integral part of curriculum and helps in inculcating various skills in the students. The match was officiated by Ajay Singh, Aman Sudan, Madhav and Rahul Sharma.
