KATRA, Oct 22: Natrang honoured 10 young artists of Katra for their outstanding talent and brilliant performances in ‘Mata Ki Kahani’ which is being featured in Navratra Festival at the Auditorium of Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra.
Giving details about this unique initiative, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur informed that Natrang conducted auditions in Katra and selected young aspirants and trained them under top professionals. Out of hundreds of aspirants, 10 most outstanding young artists made it to the finals and participated as performers of ‘Mata Ki Kahani’.
Those honored on the occasion include Aradhaya Sharma, Kavya Sharma, Aruchi Thakur, Alisha Dogra, Ayushi Nagotra, Nimisha Singh, Sonam Thakur, Priyal Ashok Gupta, Mehak Chib and Aayna Thakur.
It may be mentioned that Natrang is presenting the shows of ‘Mata Ki Kahani’- a musical dance-drama at the auditorium every day at 4 pm and 6 pm with the support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Directorate of Tourism, Jammu. This show series is going to culminate tomorrow (23rd of October).
Natrang showcased this mega show with the help of about 70 performers on stage. Since the top trainers camp in Katra for all these days, it was thought proper that why not to utilize their professional services free of charges to promote the local talent and this is how 10 young artists were identified and trained to be a part of this show.
The honors were done by Natrang Director Balwant Thakur who was accompanied by ASP Katra Vipan Chandran. Balwant Thakur said that Natrang will give these young artists of Katra an opportunity to perform at National and international level.
Prominent amongst those who attended the honoring event included Neeraj Kant, Mohd Yaseen, Rahul Singh, Shivam Singh, Brijesh Avtar Sharma, Virender Sumbli and Sunny Mujoo.
