Srinagar, Oct 24: The Director of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) today completed a two-day tour of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district to assess winter preparations.
Dr. M.A. Rather, accompanied by CMO Kupwara, MS SDH Kupwara, BMO Kralpora, and other health officers, inspected healthcare arrangements and facilities in Keran. Previously, he visited Tangdhar.
During the visit, Dr. Rather commended the dedicated staff for their tireless efforts under challenging circumstances.
He also engaged with local residents and assured them that genuine demands would be promptly addressed. Additionally, he met with PRI members to discuss the status of healthcare arrangements.
The Director emphasized the need for Chief Medical Officers to conduct routine field visits and maintain rosters for assessments at sub-center, PHC, and CHC levels.
“These visits aim to enhance healthcare services and address any issues at various hospitals in the region,” said a DHSK spokesperson.
The tour is part of an ongoing effort to improve healthcare facilities and services across different healthcare centers.
Earlier, the Director visited Tangdhar to assess healthcare arrangements in the region, where he stated that anesthetists would be rotated to serve in the remote areas of Tangdhar and Karnah to address the critical shortage of these medical professionals.
