KATHUA, Oct 25: Range Police Headquarters Jammu organized “Kho Kho” tournament under Civic Action Programme in different Locations such as Gujroo Nagrota, Bhaddu, Billawar, Machhedi, Mahanpur, Basohli, Sheetal Nagar and Bani of district Kathua on the directions of DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shakti Kumar Pathak.
The main motive of organizing such tournaments is to encourage youth to stay away from negative influences, drugs and bad company and to maintain strong bonds between police and youth.
This is knockout based tournament and total 38 teams of boys and 40 teams of girls has been participated from different schools and far flung areas of district Kathua and Quarterfinal, Semi-final and final will be played on 27.10.2023 in Billawar town of District Kathua and in today’s matches total 8 teams of boys and 8 teams of girls are qualified for next round.
The Principals, Teachers, staff of all the schools, dignitaries and general public presented in all the locations of the tournament appreciated the welcome step of the J&K Police for organizing such type of tournament in far flung locations of the Kathua district, they also said that this is second time such type of matches has been conducted by J&K Police.
