KATHUA, Oct 28: Range Police Headquarters Jammu has organized Quarterfinal, Semi-final and Final matches of the Kho Kho tournament under Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium Billawar under the directions of DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shakti Kumar Pathak.
Chief guest on this occasion was Shakti Kumar Pathak, DIG J-S-K Range, Jammu, guest of honour was Shivdeep Singh SSP Kathua, and special Guests were Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP SO to DIG Jammu, Chairman Municipal Committee Billawar, Tehsildar Billawar, Narayan Dutt Tripathi and other dignitaries.
Pathak said that a total 38 teams of boys and 40 teams of girls from far flung areas of district Kathua have participated in the tournament where 16 teams have played which qualified for today’s round in which 8 teams for boys and 8 teams for girls.
Dignitaries and the general public present in the venue appreciated J&K Police for organizing such a type of tournament, and they also said that they expected the same from the J&K Police in future also. Both in boys and girls Higher Secondary school Gujroo Nagrota registered their wins in the final match. Both final match winning teams were awarded with trophies, medals, certificates and cash Prize of Rs 5000. Final Runner up teams awarded with trophies, medals, certificates, and cash prize of Rs. 3000. Semifinal, Quarter Final winning and runner up teams were also awarded with trophies and cash prize.
