PATHANKOT, Oct 29: Partap World School, Pathankot hosted CBSE Cluster XVIII Athletics Championship in which many schools from different districts of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir participated in field events.
Dr. Shvetta Arora, Joint Secretary at CBSE was the chief guest on this occasion who inaugurated the function. Rajesh Kumar, DEO, Jag Jeevan Singh, DSO, Arun Kumar DM Sports and Principles of many other schools were also present there along with Chairperson, Shashi Mahajan, Director, Sunny Mahajan, Director, Osheen Mahajan and Principal Shubra Rani.
The results of the day are Sanyam Bhardwaj from Partap World School, Pathankot, took the first spot in Under-14 long jump (boys) with Paras Mehra from BSAR Public School, Gurdaspur, at the second spot; the first spot in Under-14 long jump (girls) was taken by Gurbax Singh from SBD Singh Public School, Tarn Taran with Harbhinder Singh from BDS Public School, Tarantaran on the second spot; in the 200 meter Under-14 (boys), Sehbaz Singh from Cambridge International School, Gurdaspur, took the first place with second place going to Sarban Sandeep Singh from Baba Deep Singh Public School Dehra Sahib; in the same even and in girls category Divert Kaur from SWSP Public School, ASR came first with the second spot bagged by Ausheen Kaur from GNM Public School, Jalandhar; in high jump under 17 (girls) Manpreet Kaur from St Kabir Public School, Gurdaspur took the first place and Abnoor Kaur from SS Elite Convent School Amritsar took the second spot; in long jump Under-19 (girls) the first prize went to Rosepreet Kaur from Sri Guru WK Public School, Gurdaspur and the second prize was taken by Manpreet Kaur from BDS Public School, Tarn Taran.
