JAMMU, Nov 2: Heritage School Secondary Wing celebrated its XIX Annual Day with grandeur and enthusiasm at the prestigious Zorawar Singh Stadium here today. The event was a grand showcase of the school’s remarkable talents, achievements, and rich cultural diversity, reinforcing its dedication to delivering quality education and fostering a vibrant cultural community.
Dr. Piyush Singla, Secretary Revenue, Planning, Development, and Monitoring Department, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir was chief guest while Geetanjali Singla was Guest of honour, Professor Minu Mahajan, Principal Government – PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Chairman, Sunil Gupta and Members of the Board of Trustees.
Anika Gupta, the Head Girl of the school student council delivered an inspiring welcome address. Vice-Principal Heritage School Rashmi Thakur presented the school’s annual report, highlighting the institution’s achievements and milestones over the past year.
To honour the unwavering pursuit of excellence, Geetanjali Singla presented Medallions to Adhyant Mahajan (97.2%, Commerce), Diya Gupta (96.6%, Medical), Arya Gupta & Divyanshe (96%, Humanities) & Saksham Gupta (95.8%, Non Medical), who were the toppers in their respective streams in AISSCE Exam 2022-23. She bestowed the Best House Trophy to Dignity House for their outstanding performance in extracurricular activities for the academic year 2023-24.
In memory of Late Jia Lal Gupta, who always espoused the cause of education, the Chairman of the school Sunil Gupta awarded a prize of Rs. 10,000 each to students who scored 90% and above in the AISSE 2022-23 examination.
Guest of honour, Prof. Minu Mahajan conferred Golden Pockets to six students for securing 90% and above for three successive years beginning from class VI and awarded prestigious Scholar Blazers to 10 students for their consistent academic excellence over four successive years beginning from class VI. Principal Heritage School, Akash Pradhan concluded the event with a warm vote of thanks to all who contributed to the success of the Annual Day celebration.
