RAMBAN, Nov 2: A loaded truck skidded off the road in Kela Morh area here last night and landed in a deep gorge resulting in on the spot death of the driver.
The ill fated vehicle was plying over an under-construction road stretch of the four-lane project on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Police informed that the truck was moving toward Kashmir valley and had registration number JK03E-8003.
On getting information about the accident rescue teams of Police and SDRF reached the spot and retrieved the body of driver from the gorge and shifted it to mortuary of District Hospital Ramban.
Police identified the deceased as Mohammed Irfan Dar, son of Abdul Qayoom Dar, resident of Kulgam, Kashmir.
After conducting post-mortem and other legal formalities, body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
