JAMMU, Jan 14: Defeating Stadium Blue by four goals to one (4-1) in the summit clash, Stadium Red claimed the Senior Girls title trophy, while Power House Club defeated Stadium Orange by a solitary goal to win the Junior Boys title of the Hockey Poonch District Championship, which concluded at Sports Stadium Poonch today.
The Championship was held under the aegis of Hockey J&K and under the supervision of SAI hockey coach, Sham Lal Sharma, organizing secretary of the Championship.
Earlier, in Senior Girls final, Stadium Red drubbed Stadium Blue by (4-1). For Stadium Red, Mridhu Sharma scored goals in 7th and 56th minutes, while Meenakshi Khajuria netted the goals in 34th and 49th minutes. Arushi Sharma was the goal scorer for Stadium Blue in 58th minute.
Meanwhile, in Junior Boys final, Power House Hockey Club got better of Stadium Orange by a solitary goal and the goal scorer was Charanjeet Singh in 9th minute of the match.
Commanding Officer 39 Rashtriya Rifles, Munish Kumar was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Lt Col MS Bisht; DySP Sagar Singh; Manager Sports Stadium Poonch, Nirdosh Kumar and Narjeet Singh were also present was the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Rohit Sharma, Vikas Sharma and Mukesh Kumar.
