Shiksha Niketan School organises ‘Bal Mela’

JAMMU, Nov 9: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu celebrated ‘Bal Mela’ in school premises here today in which students and teachers participated enthusiastically. Principal of the School, Rameshwar Mengi encouraged and shared the day with children.
Lavish Uppal (CA) and Sahil Mahajan, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) were the special guests on this occasion. An array of stalls with a variety of Spicy and Savory Mouth Watering food items and exciting Games were the main attraction of Bal Mela. The stalls displayed different items of Children’s interest which were established with the help of the school teachers on a no profit no loss basis. In this Bal Mela children were given Money coupons to purchase whatever they wanted. Dressed in bright clothes, the children cheerfully moved from one stall to the other relishing the snacks to their hearts’ content.
Principal said that through such events, the school wants to enhance the life skills of the children. Such days of Fun and Enjoyment give children a chance to enjoy their childhood. Earlier, all the Senior Members on staff inspected the stalls to ensure the good quality of food and other items displayed for sale.
