JAMMU, Nov 16: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sangathan Trust (SKJAVST) organised a felicitation programme here today to honour Har Shikhar Tiranga Team head Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal.
On occasion DIG Jammu, Samba & Kathua Range, Shakti Pathak was the chief guest. Pathak said, “Climbing the highest peaks of all 28 States, such a campaign has never happened in history. This unprecedented feat was achieved under the leadership of Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal, the Director of National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS) and the team receiving admiration and respect from across India,”
Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sangathan trustee & former CEO and Managing Director of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, R K Chhibber also attended the programme as guest of honour. Trust President, Mahant Rohit Shastri also appreciated Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal-an Indian Army officer from Jammu for scaling Mount Everest three times & highest mountains of all seven continents. A feat nobody has achieved in the state except him so far.
Apart from that Jamwal a veteran of more than 50 mountaineering expeditions and has two Asian records and four Indian records in his name recently completed six countries cycling expeditions which started from Vietnam and completed at Singapore by passing through the four other countries including Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia by covering the distance of around 5,374 kilometres.
The statement said before this expedition, Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal along with four cyclists, led by him had completed the 1100 kilometres cycling expedition of ‘Seven Sister States’ of North East and become the first team who paddled the seven sister states for the first time in December last year. Colonel Ranveer said that everyone can achieve the target but the only mantra is to be focused towards their goal and should stay away from the distraction and bad things.
