J&K crushes Nagaland by 10 wickets

JAMMU, Nov 18: Jammu and Kashmir crushed Nagaland by 10 wickets as almost all the bowlers made merry by taking wickets to bundle out the opposition for a paltry total of 30 runs, while the duo of opening batters chased the target in style in just 2.3 overs, thus guiding Jammu and Kashmir to a big win by 10-wickets over Nagaland in the Women’s U-15 One Day Trophy at 22 Yard Salt Lake Kolkata today.
Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir bowling quartet of Ananya Dogra, Ayushi Ambardar, Sonakshi Manhas and Reyanshu Rani plotted Nagaland collapse as the team collapsed at a meager total of 30 runs in 10.3 overs. Skipper and wicketkeeper batter Najmeen Khatun top scored with 10 runs off 11 balls, studded with 2 fours, while Areena Kaurinta contributed 8 runs to the low total.
For J&K, Sonakshi Manhas took 3 wickets by conceding 2 runs in 2.3 overs, while Ananya Dogra, Ayushi Ambardar and Reyanshu Rani bagged 2 wickets each. In reply, J&K opening batters Alisa Jan (14*) and Kayinat Bakshi (9*) chased the target in just 2.3 overs, thus guiding Jammu and Kashmir to a big 10-wicket win. Both the batters smashed 2 boundaries each in their brief unbeaten knocks.
The Jammu and Kashmir team is being accompanied by Shweta Singh Slathia as Manager and Amit Pal Singh is the Head Coach, while the other members of the Support Staff included Nayna (Bowling Coach), Rohit Saini (Trainer), Sakshee Raina (Physiotherapist) and Sheikh Suhail (Video Analyst).
