JAMMU, Nov 19: Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS) held a Cross Country Run, under the theme “Go Green Breathe Clean”. The event, dedicated to promoting a cleaner and greener environment, saw an enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and faculty members alike.
The run commenced at 5:30 am from Bravo 3 (Naaka) Bahu Fort, the Cross Country Run witnessed students from BOMIS, under the diligent guidance of their teachers, traversing the route leading to the Tirupati Balaji Temple.
The event was graced by Anisa Nabi, State Taxes Officer, Shilpa Chaku Handoo, Abhishek Jamwal, Aparna Kohli School principal, parents, teachers and students.
The event culminated with a felicitation ceremony of the guest of honours at the Tirupati Balaji Temple celebrating the collective efforts and dedication put forth by the Birla Open Minds International School community and their families.
The winners of the marathon were given medals by dignitaries in different categories. In the parents category (Male) Bashir Ahmed won the gold medal, Vijay Choudhary won the silver medal and Gurveer Singh won the bronze medal. In the female category Jyoti Sharma won the gold, Isha Jamwal won the silver and Nazreen and Shabana won the bronze medal. In class IX to XII category Boys Group- 9th to 12th Boys Rehan Ahmed won the gold, Krish Partap Singh won the silver and Tasin won the bronze. For the girls category Jahnvi won the gold medal, Diksha won the silver medal and Riya won the bronze medal.
In class VI to VII category Najam won the gold, Zaad won the silver and Aahana won the bronze medal. In class III to V category Aayan, Saksham and Toufiq won the gold, silver and bronze medal respectively. Nirbhay, Aahil, Rehan and Abhiraj won the gold, silver and bronze medal in class I and II category. The hero of the marathon in the Kindergarten category was Aarish Nisar.
