GCW Parade organizes symposium

JAMMU, Jan 19: Government College for Women (GCW), Parade organized an Inter-Collegiate symposium on “Participation of Youth in Democracy” under SVEEP activities in connection with Summary and Revision of Electoral Roll 2014.
Dr Hemla Aggarwal, Principal of the College was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof Sanjana Koul, HoD, Department of Hindi, GCW Parade Jammu presided over the function. Dr. Aruna Dubey,
Department of Home Science, GCW Parade was the Nodal Officer of the Programme.
Harcharan Singh, Consultant Election Department, J&K and JK Sharma, Assistant  Electoral Officer, Jammu were the judges for the competition.
25 students from Colleges across Jammu participated in the Competition.
Sachin Abrol of GGM Science College stood 1st, Rishika of SPMR College of Commerce stood IInd and  Shriya Raina of GCW Parade stood IIIrd, while the consolation prizes went to Neelakshi Sharma of MIER, Sanam Khan of GCW Gandhi Nagar and Abhinav R. Salgotra of GGM Science College respectively.
The Programme was compered by Meenakshi Manhas, and the vote of thanks was presented by Meenaz Akhter, the ambassador under the SVEEP activities.
