JAMMU, Jan 19: First Class cricketer, Bandeep Singh helped Kishen Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) to outplay Jumbo Gladiators in a close contest by a narrow margin of 11 runs in the semifinals of the T20 Cricket Tournament at KC Public School grounds, here today.
Now, KCCC will lock horns with horns with KC Sports Club at the same venue in the finals.
Earlier, batting first, KCCC scored good total of 172 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Bandeep Singh made 61 off 42 balls, while Manik Gupta and Shubam Khajuria contributed 43 and 34 runs to the total respectively. For Jumbo Gladiators, Kuldeep Kumar was the pick of the bowlers who took 2 wickets by conceding 10 runs in his 4 overs.
In reply, Jumbo Gladiators, managed to score 161 runs in the allotted overs to lose the match by 11 runs. Raman Dutta top scored with 46 runs, while Parveen Singh and Amit Billowria contributed 44 and 29 runs to the total respectively. For KCCC, Sahil Sharma took 2 wickets, while Bandeep Singh, Pardeep Bali and Akash Choudhary claimed 1 wicket apiece. Bandeep Singh was adjudged man of the match.
