JAMMU, Nov 20: The Evacuee Property Department Jammu has launched an extensive eviction drive to vacate EP land from illegal occupants/ encroachers/land grabbers etc. The move has been initiated on the directions issued by Custodian General J&K Rajinder Singh Tara.
In this context an eviction team was constituted under close supervision of Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu Ravinder Sharma.
The eviction team headed by Aijaz Ahmed Deputy Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu /Kathua /Samba retrieved the evacuee property land covered under Khasra No.524 (15 kanals 14 marlas) and Khasra No. 525 (21 kanals 1 marlas) totaling 36 kanal 15 marlas situated at Village Sahar Logate, Tehsil & District Kathua.
The team was assisted by Revenue authorities Naib Tehsildar, Girdawar and Patwari Halqa concerned who earlier identified and demarcated the said land. Police party was also provided by the Station House Officer, Police Station Kathua. As per prevailing market rate the land retrieved is worth crores of rupees. The sign Boards were also installed on spot.
