Deshwal is new Comm Railway Safety, Northern Circle, New Delhi

JAMMU, Nov 21: Dinesh Chand Deshwal, the new Commissioner of Railway Safety, Northern Circle, New Delhi took his charge here today.
Deshwal look after the Railway Safety of the Northern Railway, coming under the Northern Circle.
He belongs to the 1990 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) and started his career in Western Railway and held various important positions in Open line, Construction, and Projects on various zonal railways.
Deshwal has also held key assignments on deputation as Managing Director, HRIDC (JV Company of MOR and Govt. of Haryana).
Prior to his appointment as Commissioner of Railway Safety, he was working as Chief Bridge Engineer, at North Western Railway.
Throughout his career, he has held a variety of positions as CE/MRTS/Northern Railway, Sr. Faculty NAIR, MD/HRIDC, and CBE/NW Railway, among many other responsibilities.
His key achievements are the successful planning, financial structuring, and sanctioning of the ‘Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor’ Project – a multipurpose 144 km long double line electrified rail corridor around Delhi, and successfully building HRIDC from its inspection into a vibrant entity having a strong multi-disciplinary team from project planning, implementation, operation, and operation and management as its founding Managing Director and vast exposure to PPP projects private sidings, private freight terminals, CONCOR terminals, metro rail projects of DMRC, LMRC, & NCRTC among many other accomplishments.
