DODA, Nov 21: Police in Doda District have arrested a driver, seized 22 vehicles and challaned 199 others for road safety violations as part of their ongoing drive against traffic violators.
A police spokesperson said that a case FIR number 150/2023 under relevant sections of the law was registered against a TaTa Sumo driver, identified as Aquib Naik of Shrekhi, Bhaderwah, at Police Station Bhaderwah for carrying passengers beyond seating capacity.
While the driver of the TaTa sumo vehicle was arrested, his vehicle was also seized besides seizing 22 other vehicles and challaning 199 for traffic violations on different routes of District Doda.
