UDHAMPUR, Nov 23: Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Memorial Trust awarded 40 meritorious students for their exceptional performance in Board examinations at Captain Tushar Memorial Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur today.
Chairman Tushar Trust Dev Raj Gupta, Secretary Shewatketu Singh Principal Higher Secondary School Girls Pawan Slathia, Trust members and students in large number attended the function.
Trustees highlighted various activities of Trust such as felicitation of martyr’s families, organization of eye camps, honouring of meritorious students and providing uniforms and other stationery articles to poor and needy students. He reiterated the resolve of the Trust to carry on such activities in future too.
In all 40 meritorious students who had shown their exceptional performance in Board examinations in Udhampur district were honoured by the Trust. They were presented track suits by trust
Chairman Trust Dev Raj Gupta praised Captain Mahajan for his exemplary and indomitable courage and said he was the epitome of a true Indian soldier who does not mind sacrificing his life in the service of the nation. He exhorted the students to work hard in their new fields to brighten their future. He advised the students to be close to their roots and participate in the civil service examinations as to be the part and parcel of their motherland.
