Pol, social organizations pay tributes to Army personnel martyred in Kalakote encounter

JAMMU, Nov 23: Several political, social and other organizations today expressed grave concern over the alarming rise in terrorism especially in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, and paid rich tribute to five Army personnel, including two army officers and a JCO, who got martyrdom in Kalakote encounter, which ended today.
BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh who is also the party incharge of J&K, today said that the Pakistan sponsored terrorism in J&K would be decisively wiped out shortly. Mourning the death of five security officials including two Army captains, the gunfight with militants in Rajouri, Chugh said the Modi Government stands by every security official and the entire nation joins us to pay homage to the jawans who have laid down their lives fighting the militants.
Chugh said Pakistan sponsored terrorism has been wiped out of J&K to a large extent but still there are elements within the union territory which provide support to such anti-national forces. He said the sacrifice of the security officials would not go waste and the militants would have to pay with their blood for trying to spread terrorism in J&K.
Expressing great shock over the loss of lives in the Rajouri encounter, JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani, working president Raman Bhalla, senior vice president Ravinder Sharma, DCC president Shabir Ahmed Khan and other senior leaders paid rich tribute to the martyred jawans and expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved families. They also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
Provincial president of National Conference Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta strongly condemned the Rajouri terrorist attack, saluting the five brave-heart martyrs including two Captains and a JCO who made their supreme sacrifice in this terrorist attack. He expressed grief with the bereaved families and prayed to God to give courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) deplored the Rajouri attack, in no uncertain terms, in which four soldiers lost their lives. “Violence only exacerbates the issues rather than resolving them. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have borne the brunt of violence over the past more than 30 years. They have a long-standing experience of violence, spurring total devastation and adding more to their problems,” said a PAGD statement. The PAGD leaders expressed solidarity with families of soldiers who made supreme sacrifices in the line of duty.
BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta, said the martyrdom of five army personnel in Rajouri during a confrontation of security forces, shall not go in vain and terrorists will be given an unforgettable lesson for their heinous and coward acts. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs, he added.
JKPCC general secretary and DDC Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony paid heartfelt tribute to the five Indian Army personnel martyred in Kalakote encounter. He expressed his deepest condolences with the bereaved families of the martyrs, assuring them of the nation’s unwavering support during this time of grief. He also urged the Modi-led Government to take decisive action against Pakistan, emphasizing the need to curb such acts of violence and protect the nation’s borders.
Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu (JKHCBAJ) extended its deepest condolences to the families of the five Army personnel, including two officers, who lost their lives during the ongoing encounter with terrorists in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement, general secretary of the Association Parvesh Singh Salaria said this tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by our security forces in their tireless efforts to maintain peace in the region. He said Bar Association Jammu stands in solidarity with the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and our thoughts are with their grieving families during this difficult time.
President of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCI) Jammu strongly condemned the cowardice act of terrorism yesterday at village Bajimaal in Kalakot area of Rajouri district in which five Army personnel including two Captains, JCO and a Jawan were martyred. In a meeting of the Chamber, all the members saluted the brave officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives while defending the motherland and also prayed for the speedy recovery of injured.
Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit expressed deep anger over the martyrdom of two army officers and three soldiers in an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri. A condolence meeting was organized in the party state office and one minute silence was observed to pay heartfelt tribute to the martyred soldiers. State chief Manish Sahni said that the drums of “All is well” are being beaten in J&K but the ground reality is completely opposite in the UT.
Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K president Pt Rajesh Kesri also paid rich tribute to martyred Army personnel. “Our hearts go to the families of the martyrs on losing their dear ones, who offered supreme sacrifice while fighting with terrorists for defending the sovereignty and integrity of the Nation,” Kesri said in a message, adding that indebted nation salutes the valour of the warriors.
President of Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) today led a strong anti-Pakistan rally on Janipur-High Court Road, protesting against Rajouri encounter. The protesters burnt the flags of Pakistan as well as effigies of ISI.
