World population may cross nine billion by 2050. According to a United Nations report based on ‘Revision of the official United Nations Population Estimates and Projections, less developed countries would witness most of the increase. India would have the fastest growing population. But, 46 countries may lose population, including Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, countries in former Soviet Union, and some small island nations.
Isn’t this information frightening. Being citizens of this country we all have a responsbility to put efforts in making our country a better one. Educating the ignorants about the perils which increase in population creates can be a little effort in this direction.
