RS PURA, Jan 21: An Inter-Class Cricket Tournament was organized at Mother India Senior Secondary School, here today.
6 teams participated in the tournament and each team was represented by a teacher and the team was given the names on their respective teachers
The final match was played between AS Royals and RK Knight Riders today.
AS Royals won the toss and chose to bowl first. While batting first, RK Knight Riders scored 69 runs in the 12 over match. Shubham of Arts section of class 11th scored 24 runs and Neeraj Sharma of Arts section took 3 wickets by conceiving 26 runs in 3 overs and Rahul Choudhary of Non Medical (AS Royals) Section took 2 wickets for 15 runs in his 3 overs.
In reply, AS Royals chased the 70 runs target in 10.1 overs with one wicket in hand. Rajan Asla of Non Medical section was the highest scorer who scored 21 runs. Rahul Choudhary also played a fine knock. Besides taking 2 wickets, he also scored 17 runs. Rishu Choudhary of Arts (RK Knight Riders) took 4 wicket but could not save his team from defeat. Rahul Choudhary of Non Medical stream was declared man of the match for his all-round performance. The final match was won by AS Royals by one wicket
Ch Mohan Singh, Chairman, Managing Committee and Senior Congress Leader, Suchetgarh was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Sonia Tohra, Principal Mother India Sr. Sec. School, R S Pura also spoke on the occasion.
