JAMMU, Nov 26: MIER College of Education was adjudged as one of the top three autonomous colleges in the country by Wheebox at its New Code of Education Awards for 2023 announced in New Delhi under ‘Top Digital Enablers in Autonomous College Category’.
The statement said the event recognised the remarkable achievements of Higher Education institutions in India that drive the best Digital Practices for the future of education. Prof. Adit Gupta Director/ Principal of MIER College of Education received the award at a glittering function organised to felicitate the achievers.
MIER College of Education received the award for implementing Blended Learning courses in various teacher education and social sciences programs for the students as part of the Technology Enabled Learning Project of the Commonwealth of Learning Canada. The college has provided students with a Moodle-based Learning Management System to enrich their technology-enabled learning environments.
The college was selected out of a total of 170 applicant institutions which underwent a stringent multi-stage evaluation process. The grand jury consisted of Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman AICTE, Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General AIU and Prof. Jyoti Kumar, Assoc. Prof. IIT Delhi.
