JAMMU, Jan 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Tug of War team brought laurels to the State by winning bronze medal under 560kg Mix Boys and Girls weight category in the 11th Senior Federation Cup National Tug of War Championship held at Nasik in Maharashtra.
The medal winners included Nisha Rajput, Sapna, Tanuja Kumari, Nuzjhat Jaan, Sonia Bharti, Happy Singh, Manoj Kumar, Binder Singh and Kavit Singh. The team was accompanied as Gaurav Sharma as coach and A Kumar as manager.
Hardeep Singh Anand, president of J&K Tug of War Association hosted a lunch sponsored by Hotel Asia for the winning team.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ravinder Singh Sasan, general secretary of the Association, Pawan Deep Singh, DN Chauhan and Chuni Lal Bhat.
