Jammu Sports wins by 4-1 in tie-breaker

JAMMU, Nov 28: Jammu Sports made it a 4-1 win via tie-breaker against Winter Capital to reach the next round of quarterfinals in the ongoing Jammu Gold Cup Football Tournament, organized by the Young Hero’s Football Club at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Tied at 1-1 at the end of given time, the match headed for penalties to decide the fate of the game. In tie-breaker, Jammu Sports goalkeeper turned out to be hero making two brilliant saves.
Earlier, Vasu Dev Singh helped Jammu Sports take first lead in the 20th minute but only to find Parth equalise the score successfully converting a penalty into goal in the 25 minute of the game.
The second half of the game witnessed a dilly dallying fight without any results. However, in penalties, Jammu Sports emerged winner by 4-1.
Mustafa, Mohd Amant Hussain and Vasu Dev Singh scored the goal for Jammu Sports while Parth could only convert his penalty into goal. Touqeer, Jaipreet and Jatin missed their attempts on the net.
In today’s match, Principal, GGM Science College, Prof Rajesh Gupta was chief guest, who was accompanied by Physical Director of the College, Dr Vinod Bakshi. Both these special guests interacted with the teams and assured all support to the organizers.
