Udhampur, Nov 28: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Udhampur organized a thrilling Divisional Level Inter District Cricket competition in Leather Ball for Girl’s U-17 years which was held at Subash Stadium, here today with the motive of inculcating sportsmanship and sports spirit among the participants.
The competition unfolded with fervour and intensity, presenting a spotlight on the remarkable prowess of these young participants.  About 75 girl participants drawn from five districts of Jammu division are participating in the competition.
All the matches were conducted by the technical experts from DYSS under the convenorship of Vinod Kumar Khajuria (convenor) Raj Kumar Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Rakesh Khajuria, Raman Kumar, Rakesh, Sourab Pandit, Deepak Sharma, Ishang Bandral and Ashok.
Among others who were present on the occasion were Raj Kumar Gupta, Ajit Singh, Romesh Chander (Activity Incharge) Somdev Khajuria, Anita Goswami,  Rajan (Head Assistant), Karun Magotra, Abdul Qadir and Munazim Asif Malik. Doda won the first match against Samba district by 73 runs. In the 2nd match Udhampur district beat Kathua district by 137 runs and entered into the finals. The 2nd semi-final and final match will be played tomorrow.
