JAMMU, Dec 2: Government SPMR College of Commerce lifted the boxing men and GCW Gandhi Nagar lifted the boxing women titles in the Boxing (Men/Women) Inter College competition organized by the Cluster University of Jammu at M.A. Stadium, here today.
Dr. Surinder Sharma, Principal Govt. SPMR College of Commerce was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education & Sports, Cluster University of Jammu was the Guest of Honour.
The tournament was organised under the overall supervision of Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education & Sports, Cluster University of Jammu and under the supervision of Aijaz Malik, Physical Director Government SPMR College of Commerce.
In the men’s section Government SPMR College of Commerce clinched five gold, five silver and three bronze medals with 43 points. GGM Science College remained Runner Up by winning four gold, five silver and two bronze with 37 points and Govt. MAM College clinched 3rd position with four gold, three silver and one bronze medal with 30 points.
In the women’s section GCW Gandhi Nagar College remained the winner by winning five gold with 25 points. GGM Science College remained Runner Up with one gold and three silver with 14 points and Govt. SPMR College of Commerce remained on 3rd position by winning one bronze medal with one print.
Dr Roopali Slathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Neenu Sahwney, Physical Director, Government MAM College, Ramandeep Kralia, Physical Director GCOE, Jammu were among the various dignitaries present during the occasion. The match was officiated by Aman Sangral, Khalida Bano, Zahid Beig and Rahul Kumar.
