JAMMU, Dec 3: In an ongoing 46th Stag J&K UT Table Tennis championship, Myrah Dewan with her dominant performance in the under-13 girls final defeated her younger sister Syrah by 3-0.
It was a sweet revenge for the elder sibling after she got outclassed by her younger one in the semi finals of district championships this year. Carrying forward her strong performance from this year’s district championships Syrah Dewan made her way through the under-11 girl’s finals and will lock horns with the experienced Alena who outclassed Bhavin by 3-0 in the semis.
In both under-11 and under-13 boys final Saiyam Nischal will take on Ahaan for the title clash. Ahaan is the new entrant in this year’s final, outshining Samar in both under-11 and under-13 semis.
In today’s results in the Hopes Girls (under 11 years) semi-final Syrah beat Ridhimee by 3-0, Alena beat Bhavin by 3-0. Hopes Boys (Under-11) semi-finals, Saiyam beat Isaan by 3-0, Ahaan beat Samar by 3-1.
In Cadet Girls (Under-13) semi-finals, Myrah beat Syrah by 3-0, Gunjan beat Alena by 3-0. Cadet Boys (Under-13) Semi-finals, Saiyam bt Ishaan by 3-0 and Ahaan bt Samar by 3-1.
Sub Junior (Under-15) girls round 1, Syrah beat Xernain by 3-1, Myrah beat Hemika by 3-0, Alena beat Ashley by 3-0, Tuheena beat Sunakshi by 3-0, Gunjan beat Aisha by 3-0. Prominent persons who were present include Satish Gupta, Sanjay Wahi president J&K TT Association, Ajay Sharma,Satvir Singh, Vasu Dewan Narinder Singh and Sheetal Gandotra. The matches were officiated by Meenu Rajesh, Asad Sharma and Ankit Sharma.
