JAMMU, Dec 4: In the ongoing Inter- District Divisional Badminton competition, Jammu defeated Kashmir in straight sets and clinched the title.
The tournament was organised at Indoor Stadium MAM Stadium here today. The divisional team of Jammu beat Kashmir by 2-1 and 2-0 sets in the final. The tournament was organized under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports J&K Subash Chander Chibber.
Director Youth Services and Sports said the department is committed to channelling the sports talent of J&K in the best possible manner and every step is being taken to ensure maximum participation of youngsters in the games of their choice. He further stated that the main aim of these competitions is to select the best players for the next level of competition.
Meanwhile, Inter District Division Level Competitions in the sports discipline of Fencing for U/14 & U/17 Years were also organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports. In these competitions, Daksh from Udhampur clinched gold, Garish won silver and Mohit won bronze while Kaushtabh also got bronze in U-14 category.
