New Pavilion set to elevate sports experience in Bandipora: DC

BANDIPORA, Dec 6: During a visit to the proposed site for the construction of an Indoor Sports Hall at S K Sports Stadium in Bandipora, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad, announced that a modern Indoor Stadium and a new pavilion will soon be constructed at the current Sports Stadium. The estimated cost for this project is approximately 3 crore rupees.
The Deputy Commissioner said that development will not only boost the local sporting scene but also provide a modern and inclusive space for athletes and spectators alike. Dr Owais said that the Indoor Stadium is poised to become a hub for various indoor sports, providing a year-round facility for athletes to hone their skills regardless of weather conditions.
He further said the new pavilion will not only enhance the aesthetics of the stadium but also offer improved facilities for players, officials, and spectators. According to the Sports Association Bandipora, the establishment of the Indoor Stadium and new Pavilion are important achievements in promoting sports and recreational activities in Bandipora. According to them, these facilities will not just cater to the desires of our local athletes but also function as venues for organizing regional and national-level events.
