Fauji Public School celebrates Annual Day

SAMBA, Dec 7: Fauji Public School (FPS), Samba, an enterprise of Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League (JKESL) celebrated 21st Annual Day here today.
There were over 1000 parents, dignitaries attended the function in addition to 600 school children enjoyed the celebrations which included releasing of school magazine, prize distributions and honouring the achievers, cultural program and presentation of school profile.
Chief Guest on this occasion was Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma who is also the District President of Soldier Board. Chief Education Officer, Samba also attended the function as special invitees among others present on this occasion were Lt Gen RK Sharma, President JKESL/Chairman FPS along with Joint Chairman FPS Col KS Jamwal.
The celebrations commenced with lighting of traditional lamps by chief guest, Lt Gen RK Sharma, President JKESL, and other dignitaries. It was followed by the release of school Magazine “Vision- 3 multi colour Magazine showing important information about the school, highlighting its high education standards & performances of students in the last three years.
The Principal presented an Annual report, high-lighting 100% board results with special reference to large numbers scoring over 90% marks in board exams. She also covered school profile and future plans which included establishment of essential outdoor grounds, Swimming pools, Skating Rink, Gym, Tutorial for week students and education aids amongst other educational facilities
Chief Guests and other dignitaries distributed prizes to the performers especially those who have performed with distinction in various fields including cultural events, and education and sports. DC Samba, Abhishek Sharma in his address especially appreciated the aim of JKESL to undertake the project of establishing Fauji Public School for welfare as these are serving extremely well to the local public in providing high quality education to the rural children at very affordable rates.
