DDC contributes for orphans

UDHAMPUR, Jan 24: With an approach to support orphans and vulnerable children, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal today distributed pair of winter clothes like sweaters, uniforms shoes and other among the orphan girls of Udhampur.
The DDC herself contributes the wearable items and hoped that other people of the district would also make their contributions to support orphans and vulnerable. She assured all possible help from her side to these girls and asked them to make their education continue for their brighter future.
The DDC said that some form of public assistance is required to provide orphans and vulnerable children with adequate food, health care, clothing, education and psychosocial support. For the purpose she urged upon the local people to contribute to provide support in any way for the upliftment of these people.
On the occasion, Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital, Dr Chander Parkash also extended helpful hands to support these girls and announced every month free ration from his side for the victims.
The orphans who got the donation include Ruchika and Sunaina, daughters of Late Gopal Sharma, a resident of Garhi Udhampur.
