SAMBA, Dec 8: Humanity Public School (HPS) Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana celebrated its 43rd Annual Day cum prize distribution function based on the theme “Cultural Diversity” with great zeal and enthusiasm at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu here today.
Indu Kanwal Chib, Mission Director Rural Livelihood Mission, J&K was chief guest and Dr Sudhir Singh, Joint Secretary, J&K State Board of School Education was guest of honour during the function.
The function started with lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest & other dignitaries in the presence of Chairperson Meera Charak, Principal, Gaurav Charak and Vice-Principal, Anku Charak.
The chief guest and the other esteemed dignitaries were felicitated with mementos and bouquets by the Principal and Vice-Principal. This was followed by Devi Stuti presented by class 6th girls. The dance devoted to incarnation of Devi and her nine different Avtaars were a mesmerizing performance displayed by the girls.
Gaurav Charak, the principal presented the annual report highlighting the school’s progress and gave a brief description about the students, their achievements and future plans. Later the meritorious students of class 8, 10, 11 and 12 students who performed well in their Annual Board Examination were awarded mementos and cash prizes.
Gulchain Singh Charak, President Dogra Sadar Sabha & former Minister, Kamal Gupta Chairman, J&K Pvt. Schools Association, Ajay Gupta Principal, NITL, Udhampur and President, J&K Private Schools Association, Rameshwar Mengi Chairman, R.M. Charitable and Educational Trust including many other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
