JAMMU, Dec 9: School of Physics, SMVDU, in collaboration with NITTTR Chandigarh, conducted an ICT based one week training programme on “Materials Characterization Techniques”, from 4-8th December 2023.
The training programme comprised of faculty members, technical staff and Ph D Research scholars as participants from SMVDU. The main aim of this training programme was to impart basic and practical knowledge of the advanced tools used for material characterization in research organizations and academic institutes.
The training program had been organized by NITTTR Chandigarh and hosted by SMVDU Remote Centre for its fraternity which includes a number of experimental techniques carried out by experts in the field of synthesizing and characterizing materials from NITTTR, Chandigarh and other premier institutes from Northern India.
The participants were posed to various quizzes, assignments and discussions during session breaks. The main coordinators of the training programme were Dr Pankaj Sharma and Dr Ashok Kumar from NITTTR Chandigarh while Dr Pankaj Biswas and Dr Kamni Pathania were the local coordinators from School of Physics, SMVDU.
