JAMMU, Dec 10: The second Darshan Mahajan Memorial J&K-UT Ranking Badminton tournament commenced here today.
The tournament is organised by Akhil Mahajan Badminton Club under the aegis of Jammu City and District Badminton Association (JCDBA) where more than 250 players participated.
Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma was chief guest on this occasion. Sharma appreciated Navneet Mahajan President, Akhil Mahajan Badminton Club for organising the mega tournament for youngsters of the J&K-UT.
Rajeev Sharma, Member J&K Sports Council, Arvind Gupta, Dr. O D Sharma, Vice President, Badminton Association of India and Chairman, Badminton Association of J&K, Balbir Singh Jamwal General Secretary, Badminton Association of J&K (BAJK), Anil Gaind, Surinder Sharma, Pawanjit Singh Vice Presidents, JCDBA, Colonel D. V. Sharma, Vice Chairman BAJK and Honorary General Secretary JCDBA and Secretary Akhil Mahajan Badminton Club were also present. The matchers were officiated under the supervision of Divum Gupta, Badminton Coach assisted by Neeraj Gupta, Jaideep and Sukhdev Singh.
