SAMBA, Dec 13: Army Public School (APS) Samba celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great pomp & show in the school premises. Chairman APS Samba was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The meet was declared open by the Chief Guest by releasing colourful balloons followed by a beautiful welcome song presented by the students of the school. The event started with a synchronized march past by all the four houses and thereafter, students participated in various games and sports activities.
Winners of various competitions were awarded medals and certificates for their achievements. Further, best athlete and student of the year were also awarded. The Chief Guest appreciated the winners and participants. He added that sports are very important along with academics as they help us imbibe discipline and acquire competitive spirit while accepting challenges. More than 1500 students took part in this mega event.
