JAMMU, Dec 15: Participants and educators from all over Jammu and Kashmir showed great enthusiasm in the Silambam Game trials exercise that was conducted at Lower Roop Nagar, here today.
The purpose of the competition was to find and choose gifted people for additional instruction and growth in the traditional Indian martial art form.
The exercise was graced by prominent figures such as Hari Singh Chib, Chief Patron of the Association, SHO Janipur, Virender Singh, President of the Association, Jitendra Kumar, and Jung Bahadur Singh. Their presence motivated the participants and highlighted the importance of Silambam in promoting physical fitness and cultural heritage.
The selected players will now undergo rigorous training under the guidance of experienced coaches, preparing them for future competitions and promoting Silambam to a wider audience, he added.
