PDD Computer Operator caught accepting bribe

SRINAGAR, Jan 28: Vigilance Organization sleuths caught red handed a Computer Operator in Electric Division Tulmulla, Ganderbal while demanding and accepting bribe.
The accused Niyaz Ahmad Rather was accepting bribe from Mohammad Rafiq Najar of Saloora who had already lodged a written complaint with Vigilance Organization Kashmir alleging that the former was demanding Rs 1500 for settlement of electric bill.
On the basis of said complaint, case FIR number 1/2014 U/S 5(2) PC Act 2006, r/w 161 RPC P/S VOK was registered and investigation taken up.
During investigation the officials of Vigilance Organization laid a trap and accused Niyaz Ahmad Rather was caught red handed while demanding and accepting phenolphthalein dusted amount of Rs 1500 from the complainant in the presence of independent witnesses.
The tainted money was recovered from his possession and the accused was taken into custody for further investigation.
