Short term training programme at Kathua

Kathua, Jan 28: Composite Regional Centre, Bemina, Srinagar organized a short term training programme on one day orientation  programme for village level workers in the  Kathua today. The programme was conducted in the office of Block Development Officer, Kathua and attended by Block Development Officer Kathua Dr Anirudh Rai  and  Village Level Workers. The aim of orientation programme was to create mass awareness about disability and its rehabilitation, empowerment and social integration of disabled.
Composite Regional Centre established  in year 2000 under control of Ministry of Social Justice  and Empowerment, Govt. of India  is delivering rehabilitations service to disabled since year  2000. Apart from rehabilitations services it also run various courses of rehabilitations  science, provides aids and appliances for disabled conducts assessment and distribution camps in various regions of  J&K  lectures on disability were desired by experienced Proffessionals namely Neha Kalra, Arifa Amin  & Mr. Irfan. BDO Kathua also adderessed the audience and appealed to Village Level Workers to spread the awareness regarding said programme  among the rural masses through Panchayati Raj Institutions.
