JAMMU, Dec 23: Taking a leaf from the initiations made by the present Government for the betterment of the women folk, Shri Ram School Jammu organised W-20 summit – a leading global platform advocating for gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The women from cross sections of the society shared the dais along with the eminent panellists from different fields. The guests were Shilpa Dubey, Swati Basotra, Sunaina Mehta Sharma, Sandeepa Sambyal, Sanjita Dogra, Juhi Mohan and Rajni Gupta as specialist panellists and Isha Mahajan, Jyoti Mahajan, Archana Dubey, Shivani Raina, Tejinder Kour, Pallavi Sambyal, Balvir Kour and Neemisha Rajput shared their transformational stories.
Colonel VK Sharma (Retd), Principal of the school emphasized that the aim of the summit was to foster dialogue and collaboration on critical topics such as economic empowerment, healthcare, education, leadership, etc and explore innovative solutions to challenges faced by women striving for inclusive growth and equality.
Living up to the promises and policies of the school and promoting ‘Go Green Drive’, Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman and Rajni Gupta, Director presented to all guests a potted plant.
Sunaina Mehta Sharma, Joint Director Tourism appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of the school in taking the initiative to organize such an event in the school. She further stressed that ‘Empowering Women for a Sustainable Future’ at such a crucial juncture is the call of the day and every effort must be put in to promote gender equality and acknowledge the contribution of women in societal and economic progress of our country.
