JAMMU, Jan 30: The Director General Youth Services and Sports, Navin Agarwal felicitated the silver medalists of Jammu and Kashmir boys and girls Roll Ball teams in an impressive and well attended function, here today.
The players of Jammu and Kashmir boys and girls Roll Ball teams displayed extraordinary skills to win silver medals in the 59th National School Games at Balewadi, Pune in Maharashtra recently.
The J&K teams were sponsored by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) for this mega event, which was organized by Government of Maharashtra, under the auspices of School Games Federation of India (SGFI).
The medal winners in boys section included Ananya Magotra, Ajay Singh, Ayush Jasrotia, Ajay Oberoi, Suresh Kumar, Tarun Kumar, Chakshu Gupta, Bhanu Sunil Khajuria, Mahim Sharma, Rakshat JandIyal and Mohd Salman, while the medal winners in girls section included Shipra Bahri, Simran Raina, Rohi Rajput, Mahima Khajuria, Parthvi Sharma, Vanshika, Pragrati Sharma, Khushboo, Palak Deep Kour, Roopam Kour and Neharika Dubey.
Mr Agarwal while lauding achievements of the medalists said that it was the sheer-dint of hard-work by these budding sportspersons and their support staff, which has helped them to keep State’s flag high at the National scene.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Joint Director Youth Services dn Sports, Madan Lal, Deputy Directors-Kanchan Bala and Mirza Hussain, besides Accounts Officer, Abdul Rehman.
