5th J&K-UT Karate C’ship ends

JAMMU, Dec 26: Fifth (5th) J&K-UT Karate Championship-2023 for sub junior, cadet, junior and senior categories organised by Amateur Karate Do Association of J&K concluded at Mahajan Hall, here today. About 600 participants from different districts participated in the tournament.
Shihan Ambedkar Gupta 7th Dan Black Belt, WKF / AKF Qualified Coach, Organizing Chairman AKAJK and Executive Committee Member- Karate India Organisation who was the Technical Chairman of the tournament who distributed the medals among the winners along with other office bearers of the association. He encouraged the players, especially girls to keep doing better in the field of Karate.
It is pertinent to mention that specially abled karatekas also participated in the paraspecial event of the tournament among which Akash and Aman Srivastav won gold medals in their respective categories.
The tournament was conducted as per the rules and regulations of WKF/ KIO under the technical supervision of Sensei Ritika Rawat Judge “B” Asian Karate Federation (AKF) from New Delhi, Sensei Akhtar, Head admin of KIO Sport data Team and Raj Sanchu Rajwar Karate India Organisation (KIO).
For the first time in J&K, players were entered through Sports data which is a worldwide platform of World Karate Federation (WKF) and players of J&K got the opportunity to enrol themselves on the world level platform.
