JAMMU, Dec 31: Amateur Karate-do Association of Jammu and Kashmir team has won 11 medals in 41st Itosu-Ryu National Karate Coaching Camp and Championship at ARC, Panvel, Maharashtra.
There were 17 States which took part in the event from different parts of India. Ankur Kapoor won two bronze medals in Kumite and Kata competitions, Isham Verma (Sub Junior-52 kg) won silver in Kumite and Bronze in Kata events, Mohit Khajuria (Sub Junior 60 kg) won gold and silver medal in Kumite and silver in Kata competition, Rudhar Dewan (Cedet-15 years) won bronze, Sachin Singh (Under-17) won silver and bronze medal, Shiv Sharma (Sub-Junior 13 years) and Aryan Singh won bronze medals in the event.
The Karatekas of Jammu and Kashmir were trained and participated in the competition under the supervision of Shihan Sanjeev, the founder of Amateur Karate-do Association of Jammu and Kashmir and General Secretary and Chief Instructor of RGKFI.
