KATHUA, Jan 4: In the ongoing 12th Police Martyr’s Memorial Inter Club T-20 Cricket Championship-2023-24, Verma Sports Club defeated SC Cricket Club Gurgaon by seven wickets in the first semi-final match played today.
Verma Sports Club won the toss and chooses to bowl first. While batting first SC Cricket Club Gurgaon team sets a total of 151 runs in stipulated 20 overs with the loss of nine wickets wherein Shivam Singh was the top scorer who scored 40 runs off 34 balls with six boundaries and Ankush Nagar scored 37 runs of 35 deliveries with four boundaries.
While on chasing the target of 152 runs, Verma Sports Club easily chase down the given target in 17.2 Overs with the loss of three wickets. Thus, Verma Sports Club team won this knockout basis match by seven wickets and was the first team to reach into the final. The main scorer of team was Dhruv who scored 77 runs of 50 balls with seven boundaries alongwith three sixes. He was declared as Man of the Match for his outstanding batting.
